3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Tuesday 5/25/21

With just two games on Tuesday night, where can you find quality value options?

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate, where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs, as well.

Tuesday night has two more playoff games on the slate. So, what values may there be?

Alexander Kerfoot, Center, Toronto Maple Leafs

FanDuel Salary: $4,200

Alexander Kerfoot has real-world points in consecutive games for Toronto and has shown a little chemistry at times with William Nylander. As long as Kerfoot blocks a shot or two like has in five of his last seven contests, the center provides additional value.

Kerfoot had an assist in Game 3 with a shot, a blocked shot, and two more scoring chances created (one high-danger rebound rush chance). He keeps playing an average of nearly 17 minutes per night, and with no John Tavares, Kerfoot is seeing increased power-play time.

For a way-out-there risky alternative, Steven Lorentz ($3,000) is minimum-salary for Carolina and has five blocked shots to go along with an assist in his last two games.

Martin Necas, Wing, Carolina Hurricanes

FanDuel Salary: $4,300

The Nashville Predators have relied on Juuse Saros a metric ton but Carolina did score eight goals in two home games earlier in the series. Could Martin Necas be due for a bit of a breakout?

There is a little risk in rostering Necas but the winger blocked three shots in his previous two contests and has produced two or three shots with regularity in this series (three of four games). Necas also has at least three scoring chances in each game.

The Hurricanes are home tonight and with Rod Brind'amour having last line change, expect Necas to get a few more favorable matchups against Nashville's bottom six and defensive pairing. His speed and shifty nature will cause matchup problems.

Eeli Tolvanen ($4,000) is one to watch from Nashville. He had ten shots on 16 attempts along with three blocked shots in two games at home.

Alexandre Carrier, Defenseman, Nashville Predators

FanDuel Salary: $3,600

Overtime games often produce unexpected results. Alexandre Carrier may be the epitome of that from the games in Nashville.

While Carrier was pressed into duty (around 69 minutes in two games), he performed admirably with eight shots on 13 attempts and two blocked shots during Games 3 and 4. Carrier also added an assist and has two helpers in this series.

Brady Skjei ($3,600) is another defenseman to monitor. See if there are any lineup changes for Carolina first. Worst comes to worst, there is Jake Muzzin ($4,300) who could rebound offensively Tuesday night for Toronto.
