3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Tuesday 6/8/21

Alex Tuch is knocking on the door of a big fantasy output. Which other low-salary plays should you look to?

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate, where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs, as well.

Tuesday night has two more playoff games. Where can you find good value plays?

J.T. Compher, Center, Colorado Avalanche

FanDuel Salary: $3,300

J.T. Compher plays in the bottom-six for Colorado but does have some DFS upside on Tuesday night against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The forward nabbed an assist during Game 4 on Sunday and could see a little more ice time. Typically, in this series, Compher has been averaging around 15 minutes a night. He has at least a shot or a blocked shot in all four games. His average floor is 3.75 combined shots and blocked shots per game, which is solid.

Looking around the value bin at center, Yanni Gourde ($4,300) is on the fringe for the Tampa Bay Lightning but did have two shots and two blocked shots in Game 4.

Alex Tuch, Wing, Vegas Golden Knights

FanDuel Salary: $4,200

The Vegas Golden Knights have mostly dominated even-strength play in the last nine periods versus the Colorado Avalanche. One of the bigger reasons why is the depth of Vegas. Alex Tuch has been one of those players who can stretch the Colorado defense while being a little physical.

"Power" forwards who carry speed from the wing are a rare commodity. Tuch is undoubtedly one of those, weighing in at 222 pounds. Also, many forget he is 6'4" tall. That wingspan and reach cannot be overlooked.

Tuch creates quite a few matchup headaches. Though he does not have a real-world point in this series, Tuch has hit a couple of posts and has come close on two breakaways, as well. If there is to be a surprise outcome, it may come from this forward.

Joonas Donskoi ($3,900) is a volatile middle-six option from Colorado who could benefit heavily from the Avs getting the last line change on Tuesday night.

Jaccob Slavin, Defenseman, Carolina Hurricanes

FanDuel Salary: $4,100

Jaccob Slavin has real-world points in consecutive contests for Carolina in their series versus Tampa Bay.

The Carolina defensemen -- aside from Dougie Hamilton -- are all salaried in the value range at this point. Slavin's two games in Tampa showed that this may be the healthiest he has been in weeks. That is great news for a team that needs all hands on deck. Slavin has nine shots on goal and six blocked shots in the four games so far.

There are decent alternatives on Tuesday night in a couple of places. Erik Cernak ($3,800) could block quite a few shots for Tampa, and Zach Whitecloud ($3,600) is an intriguing option.
