4 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Tuesday 10/19/21

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate, where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs, as well.

Where can you find good value plays? Here are several for Tuesday night.

Teddy Blueger, Center, Pittsburgh Penguins

FanDuel Salary: $3,300

It may be good to get in on some of the Pittsburgh Penguins' depth talents on Tuesday night versus the Dallas Stars.

Teddy Blueger will play in the middle-six and may even see a shift or two on the second-unit power play. Even if he does not, there will be plenty of opportunities for the forward. So far, he has cashed in with two goals in three games. He also has eight shots on goal, seven scoring chances, and a couple of blocked shots.

The Stars are playing their fourth game in six nights on the road. This is a nice matchup for the Pens.

Robby Fabbri, Wing, Detroit Red Wings

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

The Detroit Red Wings' forward possesses a good deal of talent, but the problem with him often has been health. Robby Fabbri has had several severe injuries in his short playing career. When he is healthy, he can put up real-world points and provide a lot of DFS value. So far this year, he has a goal and two assists in two games.

It is no secret that Fabbri and the Red Wings are going to be a bit more offensive-minded this year. The defense may be more of a question mark, but the more Fabbri plays with Tyler Bertuzzi, the better off he will be. He is averaging three shots on goal and three scoring chances per game. Playing Columbus does not appear to be that bad of a matchup.

Also seeing power-play time, Fabbri is one of the better value options on Tuesday night.

Gustav Forsling, Defenseman, Florida Panthers

FanDuel Salary: $3,600

So, all Gustav Forsling does is get assists. Okay, not really. However, he does have three in two games. What may be more encouraging is that Forsling has six shots on goal along with four blocked shots. He is also seeing around 20 minutes of playing time a night. That is solid ice time on a very good Florida Panthers team.

Will Forsling see more power-play time is always a question, but he has the ability to kick in a little offense against Tampa Bay -- as does teammate Mackenzie Weegar.

Elsewhere, watch for the returning Damon Severson of the New Jersey Devils. He is salaried at an easy-to-like $3,800.

Spencer Knight, Goalie, Florida Panthers

FanDuel Salary: $7,200

The Florida Panthers' goalie is expected to start tonight against Tampa Bay. It sounds like an immense buzzkill, but Knight won four times in four appearances last year with a 2.32 goals against average and .919 save percentage.

Spencer Knight is projected to score 14.4 fantasy points on Tuesday night, per our model, which is not among the top-10 goaltenders. But Knight has the upside for more than that since he should see a lot of shots on goal. Plus, the salary relief is handy on this 11-gamer.
