4 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Tuesday 11/16/21

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate, where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs as well.

With eleven more games on Tuesday night, there are always some plays that can deliver a little more value.

Jonathan Dahlen, Center, San Jose Sharks

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

The San Jose Sharks' top-line center may be worth the risk on Tuesday night against the Minnesota Wild. Minnesota has been allowing three goals per game with regularity. This might be one of the higher-scoring games of the night even if projections suggest just 6.05 goals combined between the two teams.

Jonathan Dahlen has 14 scoring chances in his previous six games while blocking the occasional shot. More importantly, he has three goals in that span as he picks his opportunities well. Dahlen now plays around 15 minutes a night for the Sharks.

Going against some risk-taking offensive lines in Minnesota makes the pivot a good option.

Conor Sheary, Wing, Washington Capitals

FanDuel Salary: $3,800

The Washington Capitals' winger has goals in consecutive games coming into a meeting with the Anaheim Ducks. With Sheary playing around 15 minutes a night, he should see a few more scoring chances again.

Though Sheary has just three shots on goal in the last two games, he does have six scoring chances. Anaheim allows more than 32 shots per 60 when John Gibson is in net. When does the Ducks' defense break as opposed to just bend?

It is an excellent question to ponder as Sheary is a risky value because of his lower floor. However, playing on the second line and potentially seeing power-play time mitigates that risk somewhat.

This is a reasonable matchup versus a Ducks team that will give up its fair share of scoring chances.

Colton Parayko, Defenseman, Arizona Coyotes

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

Colton Parayko has a bit of offensive upside and at the very least, a solid floor, against the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night.

In their previous meeting, Parayko had four shots on goal and eight attempts. Also, he had five blocked shots, and three quality scoring chances. Though the St. Louis Blues' defenseman has one goal on the season, he does have six assists.

The St. Louis defenseman goes up versus one of the league's worst penalty kills at 65.3%. Furthermore, the Coyotes allow an average of four goals per game which is dead last in goals allowed. Their goals for is also last averaging just 1.53 goals per game.

Parayko has scored in double figures on FanDuel in two of his previous three games, and Tuesday expects to be a great chance to make that three times in four.

Carter Hart, Goalie, Philadelphia Flyers

FanDuel Salary: $7,300

Carter Hart has shut the door in net for Philadelphia of late. In his previous four starts, Hart has one shutout and yielded just seven goals on 138 shots faced. That is an average of 34.5 shots per contest.

The Calgary Flames can create some offense and know a thing about attacking some questionable team defenses. See how they have scored against previous teams like the New York Rangers (11 goals versus Igor Shesterkin).

The danger errs fear with Hart is the volatility causes a bad night. Again, the Flames can score on anyone as they are sixth in scoring with 48 goals in 15 games

His 46.8% implied win odds aren't the greatest here at home. However, Hart has faced taller odds at home this season and has been up to the challenge. The chances he faces 35 or more shots again is high enough to roster. A win only boosts his productive potential even more.
