3 Daily Fantasy NHL Stacks for Friday 12/10/21

In daily fantasy hockey, stacking is a key strategy in tournaments. We want to correlate our lineups with up to four players to maximize our upside, as if one player on a line is scoring goals, it's likely that his linemates are getting assists as well. Ideally, we'll want players that will get a lot of ice time together on an even strength line and a power play line. Two good resources for line combinations are LeftWingLock.com and DailyFaceoff.com, so be sure to check those sites for updated line information.

We've got a fun Friday slate with some great stacking options, so let's take a look.

New York Rangers

The New York Rangers had a seven-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday. They had been red hot up until then but had a rough game and lost 7-3. They'll have a great chance to start a new streak tonight.

The second line may be the best option to stack for the Rangers. It's the line that includes Artemi Panarin ($8,900), who has 16 points in his last 10 games. His center, Ryan Strome ($6,000), has 10 points in that same span. The third member of the line is Dryden Hunt ($4,000), but he's just a salary relief option, as he doesn't get power play time and scores a lot less often than his linemates.

The first line is still in play, though, as we've seen Mika Zibanejad ($6,900) go on scoring tears the past two seasons. He's joined by the team's leading goal scorer, Chris Kreider ($6,900), at even strength and on the power play.

You could play Zibanejad and Kreider with Panarin and Strome to get access to the entire power play. Of course, that would mean leaving off Adam Fox ($7,300), who's tied for the lead in points by defensemen with 27. My favorite four-man stack would be Panarin, Strome, Kreider, and Fox to get four key members of the power play who have been playing well of late.

The Rangers will face the Buffalo Sabres tonight. The Sabres are now 1-8-1 in their last 10 games and have allowed the second-most goals per game in the league. They've allowed five goals or more in 7 of their last 10 games, including to the Rangers on November 21st.

New York's implied team total is 3.38, but they could easily exceed that given the matchup tonight.

Florida Panthers

We liked the Florida Panthers on Tuesday, and there were some mixed results. It wasn't a total explosion with the four guys that we stacked, but we got some points out of them. Tonight could be that explosion game, though.

We saw Aleksander Barkov ($8,600) return to the lineup on Tuesday, scoring a goal and then leaving the game early. He appears to be good to go for this game, so we can fire him up again. He combined with Carter Verhaeghe ($5,100) on that goal, who had two assists in the game. Anthony Duclair ($6,000) looks set to come back tonight, too, and rejoin this line. He had been playing well, with 17 points in 19 games before his injury.

The second line is also a fine option tonight. Jonathan Huberdeau ($8,200) leads the team with 30 points. Sam Reinhart ($6,400) has six points in his last four games, as he seems to be finding his way with his new team. Sam Bennett ($6,500) hasn't scored at the same rate as he did last season when he joined the Panthers, but he's still in play because he's on the top power play.

The second line offers full correlation, while the first line doesn't. Barkov plays with all three second-line forwards on the first power play unit, while his wingers are on the second unit. You could play the first line with Aaron Ekblad ($6,900) to get two pieces of each unit and the even-strength correlation.

The reason we want to go heavy on Florida again is because of their opponent. They'll take on the Arizona Coyotes, who have the fewest points in the league. It looked like the Coyotes were becoming a team that would be a bit plucky and win a game or two, but that was before they lost their last three games by a combined score of 16-4.

Florida's implied total is all the way up to 3.80 goals tonight, so they are clearly a team we can stack.

Vegas Golden Knights

While the Colorado Avalanche have an astronomical team total above four goals tonight, their goals have been so spread out of late that even when they've scored seven goals in each of the past two games, no one on the team has produced tournament-winning performances.

So instead, we are going to look at the Vegas Golden Knights, who are in a very good spot, as well, and their offense tends to be more concentrated.

It was only a few weeks ago when Vegas' forward group looked like an AHL team. Now, with most players back, they look like the team that has been semifinalists two years in a row.

Max Pacioretty ($9,800) has been on a tear since returning, with 5 goals and 23 shots on goal in his last four games. Mark Stone ($7,400) also appears to be back to full strength, with points in six consecutive games, including two goals on Wednesday. Chandler Stephenson ($5,500) is a fine third piece to this stack, as he also plays with them on the top power play.

The second line, also known as the "misfits line," is also a decent option. William Karlsson ($4,800) has been back in the lineup for two games and picked up an assist in the last one. Reilly Smith ($5,300) and Jonathan Marchessault ($6,800) are the top two goal scorers on the team, with 10 and 11 goals, respectively. This line makes up three players on the second power play, so it offers full correlation and a much lower total salary.

Vegas will play the struggling Philadelphia Flyers tonight. Philly has lost 10 games in a row now and have allowed the most expected goals per 60 minutes in the league. This is a great matchup for a Vegas team that seems to be hitting its stride.

We know the Avalanche have a lofty team total, but the Golden Knights' 3.90 implied goals isn't too far behind. The first line as a main stack or the second line as a secondary stack are great options tonight.
