4 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Tuesday 1/25/22

Value options on the eight-game NHL schedule are a bit more plentiful. Let's see what is out there.

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy -- but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Tuesday night has eight games on the schedule. It is time to save a bit of salary.

Jacob Peterson, Center, Dallas Stars

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

The Dallas Stars' center had slipped a bit of late but bounced back with a goal on Monday against the Philadelphia Flyers.

There is some risk again because Peterson is back to seeing middle-six minutes with the Dallas forwards. That may be okay, though, as he can sneak up on teams a little easier. It will limit shots and scoring chances a bit but may increase his likelihood of scoring a goal or assist.

The center has a decent road matchup versus the New Jersey Devils, who are an enigma of a team.

Dallas, as a whole, will be a bit undervalued on Tuesday as Jason Robertson is nightly -- except on FanDuel where he is $8,500 now.

Kailer Yamamoto, Wing, Edmonton Oilers

FanDuel Salary: $3,800

Right now Kailer Yamamoto is on the Edmonton Oilers top-line gravy train and seeing some power-play time. As the old saying goes, get in while the getting is good.

Yamamoto has real-world points in three of his last four games. He can vanish when it comes to shot volume but at times can get two-to-three shots on net.

With the league-worst penalty kill in the Vancouver Canucks (66.9%), Yamamoto may just luck into some good FanDuel points tonight.

There is a bit of risk, but these former North -- now Pacific Division -- combatants know how to give up goals.

With his status on the power play and top-six even strength time on ice quite high, Yamamoto's salary provides much value even now.

Henri Jokiharju, Defenseman, Buffalo Sabres

FanDuel Salary: $3,800

So, Henri Jokiharju has a bit of potential on Tuesday night. The Buffalo Sabres blueliner plays against the Ottawa Senators.

Neither team is great by any means. Everyone knows that, but they both have a penchant of giving up goals in bunches. Also, Jokiharju plays at least 20-plus minutes per night and has a goal and three assists in his past four contests.

Drysdale has just four shots on goal and four blocked shots in that span but could easily find himself on the scoresheet tonight.

With the ups and downs of the Ottawa defense, Jokiharju has to at least be considered.

Philipp Grubauer, Goalie, Seattle Kraken

FanDuel Salary: $6,600

Goaltending for the Seattle Kraken is not easy. They do not allow a ton of shots and scoring chances, so it is tough to get in a rhythm. No one understands that pain better than Philipp Grubauer.

It has been a long season for the starting goalie on an expansion team. However, he has rattled off three straight wins at home while allowing just seven goals. The German only saw 83 shots on goal to boot.

Expect Nashville to try and increase that shot volume on Tuesday, which may benefit Grubauer.

His salary is lower than any starting goalie in NHL DFS. Enough said.
