3 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Friday 2/11/22

With four games on the schedule, value comes at a premium on Friday night. Where can we turn?

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Friday night has four games on the slate. Let's get into the values!

Luke Glendening, Center, Dallas Stars

FanDuel Salary: $3,800

Luke Glendening saw a spike in playing time last game to just over 16 minutes. He responded with a goal on four shots.

The key is not to expect too much here. Typically, Glendening gets a shot or two on net, but his potential floor is there. He can block two or three shots on any given night.

He has two goals in his last three games since the Dallas Stars are seeing a little more in the way of secondary scoring. The hope is that trend continues.

Winnipeg has been allowing nearly three goals a game at even strength, and they have also allowed 34 shots per game since Paul Maurice "retired".

Linemate Michael Raffl is worth a look as well if you need a Dallas winger instead.

Joonas Donskoi, Wing, Seattle Kraken

FanDuel Salary: $3,700

Perhaps Joonas Donskoi is worth a flier on Friday night in Anaheim for the Seattle Kraken.

Donskoi has been bumped down into the middle-six by Dave Hakstol. He has just one goal on 58 shots, but his floor is decent enough and his salary is enticing as well.

Anaheim is not an easy team to play against and have been very stout at home

It boils down to utilization. Donskoi is getting more scoring chances again. Expect a better effort on Friday night and at least 2-3 scoring chances from Donskoi.

Offense is possible here; Anaheim often gives up some odd and random goals at home.

Scott Mayfield, Defenseman, New York Islanders

FanDuel Salary: $4,100

The New York Islanders' defense needs to contribute more. Scott Mayfield heard the message.

Mayfield has three assists in his last three games but there is a good deal of risk. He averages a floor of three shots and blocked shots combined.

The Edmonton Oilers do tend to give up more unblocked shots than most at critical moments. They gave up nine high-danger scoring chances in their last contest, and eight were from plays that started from the point.

Mayfield is far from an offensive juggernaut, but the Islanders need every contribution on deck. Anything from their defense is a bonus.
