3 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Friday 3/18/22

With a six-pack of NHL games on Friday night, which value options stand out?

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Friday night features six games on the schedule. Let's get thrifty!

Noel Acciari, Center, Florida Panthers

FanDuel Salary: $3,600

Why not take some shots on Friday night with some bottom-six options? Several teams are on a back-to-back.

Noel Acciari has a goal and two assists in just eight games this season.

Importantly, Florida just played Thursday night and lost in Vegas. It is expected the Florida center may see more than his usual 12 minutes a night to ease the stars' workloads.

He has a low floor of two combined shots and blocked shots per game but has more than two scoring chances per contest. Acciari is worth a look on Friday.

Joel Farabee, Wing, Philadelphia Flyers

FanDuel Salary: $4,200

Without Claude Giroux in the lineup, will Joel Farabee keep stepping up?

He has a goal and five assists in his previous six games. More essentially, Farabee is playing top-line minutes and is averaging 1.5 blocked shots per contest lately.

The matchup against the Ottawa Senators is a solid one. Ottawa gives up 3.28 goals per game and 33.5 shots per contest. There should be chances.

Farabee has incredible hands and offensive ability. He just needs to be a bit more consistent. A playing time boost without Giroux should help.

Artem Zub, Defenseman, Ottawa Senators

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

Alas, Artem Zub is a bit of a risk on Friday night.

Because he can toss up goose-eggs on a frequent base, Zub may be less than 5% rostered on Friday night. Yet, Zub has three assists in his past four contests. That's come with just four shots and six scoring chances, so no, the floor isn't exceptionally high.

However, a little bit of patience here could pay off. The Philadelphia Flyers did win on Thursday night 5-4 on Claude Giroux night, and they did expend a lot of energy.

At just $4,000, Zub is a roll of the dice worth taking.
