4 NHL FanDuel Studs to Target on Tuesday 3/22/22
Spending up in any daily fantasy lineup is how to get the superstars and the highest upside players in your lineup.
In NHL DFS, it’s different from paying up in sports like NBA or NFL. Someone can be one of the highest salaried players at his position and put up a total dud of a performance, and paying that much for him would be a huge mistake. Let’s make sure we are paying up in the right spots when building our lineups tonight.
Tuesday night brings us 11 games on the slate. Let's take a look at some studs.
Mika Zibanejad, Center, New York Rangers
FanDuel Salary: $7,700
The New Jersey Devils are likely to continue to play for next season. Mika Zibanejad should be able to take advantage of that yet again.
The New York Rangers' winger had a goal, assist, four shots on goal, and six scoring chances in his last meeting with the Devils.
Zibanejad has 25 goals and 38 assists in 63 games this season for a Rangers team that should have a leg up in all phases on Tuesday night.
The Rangers' center is projected to score 14.4 FanDuel points, which ranks seventh among centers, but he has upside for more in this fantastic matchup.
Kyle Connor, Wing, Winnipeg Jets
FanDuel Salary: $9,700
The wing position presents a nice coin flip. Does one choose Alex Ovechkin or Kyle Connor? I side with Connor.
Basically, the Vegas Golden Knights are still a shell of their former selves, and worse, they have a trade in limbo with Evgeni Dadonov.
Connor, the Winnipeg Jets' left-winger, has six goals and nine assists in his last seven games. He will not be too happy following a one-shot effort in his last game.
As for Vegas, the idea of having Logan Thompson or Laurent Brossoit cannot be too good here. In the last meeting between these two sides, Connor had a goal, two assists, two shots and four scoring chances.
Roman Josi, Defenseman, Nashville Predators
FanDuel Salary: $7,500
The heater of heaters continues for Roman Josi -- helped along by Nashville and their top line.
While the Los Angeles Kings might not be the most ideal matchup, Josi's wave of confidence has to be off the charts. Josi has an amazing four goals and 20 assists over his last 10 games. That is not a misprint!
Yes, Nashville played last night, but right now, the numbers are too mind-boggling to pass up Josi, who has four or more shots on goal in seven of his last 10 starts.
Jacob Markstrom, Goalie, Calgary Flames
A few goalies have great opportunities to score a lot of DFS points tonight.
With San Jose just playing out the string, the Calgary Flames have an excellent chance to pad totals for Jacob Markstrom. Calgary is 19-5-6 at home on the season.
After a rough first month at the Saddledome, the Flames have never looked back. They have the second-best record in the West and are second in the NHL since January 1st.
The Swedish goaltender has a career-high 29 wins and nine shutouts on the season. Markstrom has a chance to add to both of those totals on Tuesday.
