3 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Monday 3/28/22

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Monday night comes fierce with five games on the schedule. Let's go crazy!

Morgan Geekie, Center, Seattle Kraken

FanDuel Salary: $3,400

The group of centers at low salaries is a bit limited on Monday. Morgan Geekie offers some risky but intriguing upside.

As long as Geekie sees even a little power-play time, he carries some potential. The forward has two goals and three assists in his last six contests. Seattle shows flashes of offense, and Geekie has nine shots with 12 scoring chances in that span.

That does not sound like much, but it's not bad considering he plays just 12 minutes a night. His per-60 rates are more top-six level than bottom-six.

He has a low shot floor but a game against Los Angeles could be a good spot for the Seattle pivot.

Dominik Kubalik, Wing, Chicago Blackhawks

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

Nick Ritchie is someone to consider, but Dominik Kubalik may be an even better option against the Buffalo Sabres.

His salary has stayed in the value realm during what has been an uneven season -- to say the least. He does have a goal and an assist across his previous three games. That includes seven shots on goal and nine scoring chances.

It is Kubalik's speed and agility from the middle-six that can hurt teams. That is especially true versus Buffalo.

The winger has an opportunity to approach double-digit FanDuel points on Monday night. We project him for 9.1 FanDuel points and rate him as the fourth-best point-per-dollar value plays among all skaters who are salaried under $4,000.

Brett Kulak, Defenseman, Edmonton Oilers

FanDuel Salary: $3,800

Brett Kulak is worth a second look on Monday for the Edmonton Oilers.

He's seen at least 17 minutes in five straight games, and he's proven he can be effective enough with those minutes.

While he has only one assist in his last four contests, he does have five shots, six scoring chances, and nine blocked shots in that time -- giving him a decent floor.

His $3,900 salary and matchup versus Arizona should help your roster on Monday night.
