3 NHL FanDuel Value Plays to Target on Monday 4/4/22

Nick Leddy has new threads, and he's currently on the power play due to the injury to Torey Krug. Who else stands out in Monday's bargain bin?

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal of risk, too. The right low-salary plays can give you good production while affording you more chances to roster high-salary studs.

Monday night has four games on the schedule. Let's have some fun!

Erik Haula, Center, Boston Bruins

FanDuel Salary: $4,200

The bargains are less plentiful on Monday night with a four-game slate. However, Erik Haula still carries a little value against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

With Haula seeing more ice time and power-play time, the center is getting more and more opportunities.

The forward has 19-plus FanDuel points in five of his previous six games, so the second line of Boston may be one of the top line stacks on the night.

With Columbus allowing 3.74 goals per game and 35.4 shots per contest, Boston's entire team -- and their second line -- should have a ton of chances Monday night.

Nathan Walker, Wing, St. Louis Blues

FanDuel Salary: $3,800

Nathan Walker is certainly a risk. He plays just over 11 minutes per night in a fourth-line role for the St. Louis Blues.

His salary has leveled out around $3,800 in the last month as a result. But, he has had two goals in his past three games with a high floor of shots and blocks. Perhaps, he's earning more.

Arizona is not rested, and they could allow four goals on Monday night considering their defense normally. Walker has four shots on goal with six scoring chances and three blocked shots in his past three appearances, and he is the one that would play more in a blowout.

The winger could sneak into the boxscore on Monday night.

Nick Leddy, Defenseman, St. Louis Blues

FanDuel Salary: $4,200

Nick Leddy came to St. Louis as a depth defenseman who could play in the top-four sports. Now, he is getting some nice power-play time due to the injury to Torey Krug.

The veteran blueliner expects to play 20-plus again on Monday night. He played 20 or more minutes in every game over the past two months.

He has now goal and six assists in his first ten games with his new team. Again, with that extra power-play time, Leddy gains a bit more of a boost offensively.

While Erik Cernak at $3.600 offers fantasy relief as well if you run up against a limit of Blues, Leddy has a better matchup at home versus Arizona.
