Nick Markakis, OF, Atlanta Braves

FanDuel Price: $2,500

It's not every day you see the Atlanta Braves in a spot where they're likely to generate some big offense, but that's the case tonight against Edwin Jackson.

The 32-year-old Jackson has seen his SIERA climb in each of the past four seasons, reaching an ugly 5.56 this year. His 13.8% strikeout rate is the second-lowest mark of his career while his 11.2% walk rate is his highest since 2007. He has been especially bad against left-handed hitters this season, pitching to a 5.85 xFIP versus southpaws

Nick Markakis is no world-beater from the plate, but he has a 34.5% hard-hit rate on the season, his highest since 2007. He does his best work against right-handed pitching, slashing .271/.349/.414 with a .329 wOBA, 34.2% hard-hit rate and 12.2% soft-hit rate on the year.

While that production isn't elite, his batted-ball numbers are encouraging. With a low salary in a matchup as good as this one, Markakis a nice bet to return solid value.
