MLB Team Power Rankings Update: Nationals Take Over at the Top
Heading into the 2017 season, we already knew the Washington Nationals were going to have a solid rotation. At the very least, the front of it would be great with the likes of Max Scherzer, Stephen Strasburg and Tanner Roark. But this level of offense? That's been kind of a surprise.
It's not surprising to see Bryce Harper get off to a tremendous start and Daniel Murphy continuing to clobber the ball, but how many of you anticipated Ryan Zimmerman to be the current leader among all qualified hitters in wRC+ (243) and wOBA (.553)?
If you rose your hand, put it down because you're lying.
The Nats have consistently pummeled opposing pitching on a nightly basis, and they lead all of baseball in team wRC+ (128), wOBA (.372), fWAR (7.3) and runs scored (170). This properly puts what they've done over the last month into perspective.
