With the Los Angeles Dodgers getting a 4.44 implied team total, punting with Adrian Gonzalez might appear like a reasonable way to fit in a stud pitcher such as Kershaw.

However, since his return from the disabled list, Gonzalez has yet to show much upside with a .277 wOBA, .149 isolated power (ISO), and 28.9% hard-hit rate. He has just one home run all season.

It doesn't help things that opposing pitcher Jimmy Nelson has been on a roll lately, with a 3.08 SIERA and 27.4% strikeout rate in May.

Particularly at a power-rich position like first base, Gonzalez isn't worth the risk despite the appealing price.
