He's not quite crushing balls the way Smith is recently, but Yasiel Puig still ranks a solid 36th in average exit velocity in August. His contact numbers have also been solid against righties all season, with a 35.8% hard-hit rate and 15.7% soft-hit rate, translating to a .368 wOBA and .255 ISO.

Gerrit Cole hasn't had a bad season by any stretch, but his 4.04 SIERA and the 30.8% hard-hit rate allowed aren't strong enough marks that they should scare you away from Puig at this price point.
