Fantasy Baseball: 4 Pitchers to Stream for Week 26
Jhoulys Chacin, San Diego Padres
Start: September 30th at San Francisco Giants
ESPN ownership: 24 percent
It's all too fitting that we should recommend, for one last time, the pitcher who has essentially been the mascot for the 2017 streamers column. Jhoulys Chacin has been one of the most bankable low-ownership options when pitching at Petco this season, amassing an incredible 1.79 ERA in just over 100 innings at home, tallying 11 quality starts in 15 tries.
Granted, the 29-year-old righty won't be tying a bow on his sneaky-solid 2017 at the San Diego Padres' home park, but his visiting start against the anemic Giants offense should place Chacin firmly on the streamer radar nonetheless. It goes without saying at this point that San Francisco is about as non-threatening as matchups get, and when hosting at AT&T Park, the Giants are easily the worst offense in baseball.
Chacin's lack of strikeout pedigree has kept him available on the waiver wire in most leagues all season, so owners who need solid innings to bolster their title chances should find him there for the taking in what should be the safest streamer play of the season's final week.
