Another team with a promising pitching matchup, the Cleveland Indians boast a 4.85 implied total in their matchup with the Chicago White Sox and southpaw Carlos Rodon.

Rodon has a stellar 2.94 ERA this season, but his 4.67 SIERA suggests that he hasn't been pitching nearly as well as it looks on the surface. Regression looks likely, particularly when you consider the fact that he's coming off a 12-game campaign that saw him post a 4.15 ERA and 4.21 SIERA in 2017.

Brandon Guyer is no killer from the dish, with a .307 wOBA on the year, but his production has likely suffered from some poor variance. His 36.2% hard-hit rate is well above both his 2017 mark (22.2%) and career-average (28.6%), but his .232 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) sits way below his career average of .294. That means that, like Rodon, we can expect simple variance to have a big effect on his production as we move forward.

As an added bonus, his production has actually been awesome in a limited 92-plate-appearance sample against southpaws this year, with a terrific .392 wOBA and .273 ISO on a still-low .254 BABIP.
