Peeping Sandy Alcantara and his sparkling 2.35 ERA over 23 innings pitched, at a low price point, he could look like a tantalizing starting pitching option tonight. Not so fast, my friends.

The young righty's 5.93 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) shows he's perhaps been a bit lucky, and that ERA has been built on a shaky 17.7% strikeout rate, 16.7% walk rate, and 85.0% strand rate.

Add in a 36.1% hard-hit rate and a date with the Washington Nationals, who rank sixth this season in team weighted on-base average (wOBA) against right-handed pitching (.325), and there are other pitching options to consider tonight.
