Lucas Duda, 1B, Kansas City Royals

Lucas Duda's overall numbers aren't especially encouraging, but he's another guy who can do some real damage with the platoon advantage.

He's posted a wOBA of at least .347 against right-handed pitching in five of the last six seasons, and he recorded a .360 wOBA and .298 ISO in the split in 2017, with a .347 wOBA and .213 ISO in 2018. That production is backed up by some serious contact, with hard-hit rates north of 40.0% and fly-ball rates of at least 45.0% in each of his last two years.

On Monday, he's up against Chicago White Sox right-hander Ervin Santana, who hasn't posted a SIERA better than 4.60 since 2016.

Duda is a low-floor option, and his value all but disappears if the White Sox bring a lefty out of the 'pen. But he's got the kind of home-run upside you're not usually going to find at the minimum salary.
