Detroit Tigers bats are going to be popular targets on this slate, and for good reason. James Shields will be on the mound for the Chicago White Sox tonight, and -- as numberFire's own Jim Sannes pointed out in his article on daily fantasy stacks for the day -- Shields has been struggling to notch strikeouts recently. That's an issue when he's allowing a 33.2 percent hard-hit rate on the season.

Shields is also sporting a career-worst 4.43 SIERA, and the Tigers have the second-highest implied total of the day.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia has been boom-or-bust this year and is on pace for career-highs in both isolated slugging and strikeout rate, while he's sporting a 37.5 percent hard-hit rate. He has done his best work against righties over his career, and he has a .346 wOBA against righties on the season. At minimum salary today, he offers huge value.
