Madison Bumgarner made headlines because of the Giants' decision to forego the designated hitter and let him hit in today's road game versus the Oakland Athletics, but it's his pitching ability that matters for DFS purposes.

The day's most expensive hurler by $1,900, Bumgarner may be a popular fade in tourney play, but he's our second-ranked pitcher with a projected point total of 36.51 points.

Oakland is a nice team to target because the Athletics are bad at hitting and even worse at drawing walks. Oakland's .306 wOBA ranks 23rd, and their 6.7% walk rate checks in 28th. The Athletics' implied total of 3.21 runs is the day's lowest mark.

For the cherry on top, the Oakland Coliseum is one of the game's best pitchers' parks, ranking 22nd in park factor and 27th in home run factor.
