Brad Miller, SS, Tampa Bay Rays

FanDuel Price: $4,000

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

The Red Sox easily have the highest implied team total today, and with Xander Bogaerts ridiculously underpriced, he will likely be the chalk at shortstop. With Bogaerts hogging all of the ownership, Brad Miller should go under-owned.

Why You Should Use Him:

Miller has been swinging a hot bat recently, homering in three of his past eight games, which pushes his season total to 12. The hard-hitting lefty gets a chance to build on that number in tonight's matchup with Jered Weaver.

The soft-tossing right-hander has a 5.51 ERA on the year, and Weaver's 5.43 SIERA is the worst clip among qualified starting pitchers. He's also given up a homer in 14 of his 16 starts this season, totaling 20 on the year (second most in the league).

While Weaver's splits against righties and lefties are nearly identical, the same cannot be said for Miller, who has blasted 38 of his career 41 home runs off of right-handed pitching. His career hard-hit rate is 9.4% higher against righties.

The Rays are projected for 4.8 runs tonight, which is the fourth-highest mark on the slate. Miller, who hits near the top of the lineup, should be a big part of reaching that total. Bogaerts is probably the play in cash games, but Miller is an interesting tournament pivot.
