4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 7/1/19

For a five-game slate, Monday actually comes through with a sizable group of enticing stacking spots, with seven of tonight's 10 teams top a 4.90 implied total.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Tampa Bay Rays

With games at the hitter-friendly venues of Globe Life Park (10.5 over/under) and Great American Ball Park (10.0) on tap tonight, there's no doubt that those games should be popular stacking options. But don't sleep on the Tampa Bay Rays, who may be playing at home on the opposite end of the spectrum in Tropicana Field but face one of the league's weakest pitching staffs in the Baltimore Orioles.

It was announced this afternoon that tonight's Orioles starter will be Thomas Eshelman, who is making his MLB debut. The Orioles acquired Eshelman from the Philadelphia Phillies in June, and while he posted a decent 3.92 xFIP and 22.6% strikeout rate in for the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate (four starts), he's since struggled with a 6.17 xFIP and 13.1% strikeout rate at the same level for Baltimore (three starts). His true talent level may lie somewhere in between those marks, but in either case, that's not moving the needle at the Major League stage.

Of course, it's not like the Orioles get a whole lot better once we get to their bullpen, which owns the eighth-worst xFIP among active rosters (4.62) and second-worst homer-to-fly-ball rate (1.58).

Austin Meadows ($4,000), Brandon Lowe ($3,600), Ji-Man Choi ($3,000), and Kevin Kiermaier ($2,800) will all have the platoon advantage at various price points, while the right-handed Yandy Diaz ($3,600) continues to show solid pop in 2019.
