4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Stacks for 7/19/19

This may be the most pitcher-heavy slate we've seen all week, but that doesn't put a damper on all the hitting potential we've got going for us on Friday. As of this writing, 13 teams exceed an implied total of five runs and two of them even surpass six runs.

Each day here on numberFire, we'll go through four offenses ripe for the stacking. They could have a great matchup, be in a great park, or just have a lot of quality sticks in the lineup, but these are the offenses primed for big days that you may want a piece of.

Now, let's get to the stacks.

New York Yankees

The New York Yankees will almost certainly draw the most attention tonight, between their usual popularity at home and a massive 6.81 implied total. But given the plethora of alternatives across 14 total games, their ownership shouldn't get too out of hand if you want to exploit their juicy matchup against Kyle Freeland.

After a magical 2018 run with loads of red flags, Freeland's seen the regression pendulum swing wildly in the opposite direction, saddling him with a horrific 7.39 ERA and 1.61 WHIP through 13 starts and a midseason demotion to Triple-A.

While Coors Field can inflate any hurler's ERA, a 5.18 SIERA isn't doing Freeland any favors, and he's getting absolutely roasted by right-handed batters. Righties boast a 45.4% hard-hit rate and 37.0% fly-ball rate against him and are only striking out 15.6% of the time.

Well, Yankee Stadium may not be Coors Field, but it's still one of best ballparks for dingers -- particularly when it's over 90 degrees out -- and those batted-ball marks spell all sorts of trouble for Freeland.

That's especially the case against a Yankees team that can line up pretty much an entire lineup of right-handed sticks between Aaron Judge ($4,500), Edwin Encarnacion ($4,100), Gary Sanchez ($3,900), Luke Voit ($3,800), DJ LeMahieu ($3,800), Aaron Hicks ($3,500), and Gleyber Torres ($3,400).

That's a scary bunch, but they don't come cheap, so you may need to drop down from the night's highest-priced hurlers for someone like David Price ($9,500) or Brendan McKay ($8,000), or even take a chance on the Yankees' own starter in J.A. Happ ($7,300) against the road-tripping Colorado Rockies.
