FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Wednesday 10/9/19

The MLB playoffs continue with a pair of Game 5s on Wednesday. Can Walker Buehler help the Dodgers get back to the NLCS?

Two winner-take-all Game 5s make up Wednesday's two-game slate, with the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves getting the festivities started at 5:02pm ET, followed by the Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers at 8:37pm ET. Implied totals are low across the board, though the Nationals have easily the lowest at 3.13 runs.

Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.

Pitchers to Target

Walker Buehler ($10,300 on FanDuel): As one might expect from a pair of Game 5s, the primary reason for tonight's low implied totals is the pitching talent we'll see on the mound. Walker Buehler is arguably the night's best option, though, coming off a fantastic regular season with a 3.50 SIERA, 29.2% strikeout rate, and 5.0% walk rate, and performing admirably in Game 1 (52 FanDuel points). As we saw last night with Justin Verlander, anything can happen in the playoffs, but Buehler and the Dodgers are favored to take the series tonight, and the Nats have the slate's worst implied total.
