FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Helper: Tuesday 10/15/19
We have a two-game MLB main slate available to us on Tuesday, but with the Washington Nationals on the verge of a four-game sweep over the St. Louis Cardinals, will this be our last multi-game slate of 2019? That matchup follows the Houston Astros and New York Yankees, who get things going at 4:08 pm ET. The Nationals and Astros have the highest implied totals on the board at right around four runs apiece.
Our daily helper is available every day to analyze FanDuel's main slate and help give you a starting point when you're building lineups. Be sure to also incorporate our great tools into your research process. Whether you're looking for daily projections, the latest starting lineups and weather, or batting and pitching heat maps to find the best matchups -- we've got you covered!
On that note, let's highlight some of the top options for today's FanDuel main slate.
Pitchers to Target
Gerrit Cole ($11,800 on FanDuel): Sure, Gerrit Cole is facing a scary Yankees lineup, but that should hardly faze us given the absurd run he's been on. Cole is coming off back-to-back dismantlings of the Rays in the prior series (61 and 78 FanDuel points), and while the Bronx Bombers are obviously a step up in competition, he's now rattled off double-digit strikeouts in 11 straight starts. His 39.9% regular season strikeout rate led all qualified hurlers, easily besting even the likes of Justin Verlander (35.4%) and Max Scherzer (35.1%), the only other pitchers to exceed 35%. The Yankees carry a modest 3.42 implied total tonight.
