Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Adds: Week 15

The waiver wire. Free agent budgets (FAB). It's back, it's real and it's glorious.

With the 2021 baseball season in full swing, nailing the waiver wire and the players available are critical to beating out your league-mates in season-long leagues.

Each week we will take a look at players who are rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo leagues and can help out your season-long squads. Remember, if you aren’t scouring the waiver wire, you are falling behind.

Jace Peterson, 1B/2B/3B/OF, Milwaukee Brewers

Roster Percentage: 20%

You know what really tickles my fancy? When a player has multi-positional eligibility. What's awesome is that Jace Peterson takes multi-positional eligibility to a whole new level, gaining that at every position but shortstop.

But, Peterson's value isn't solely tied to being able to be played at a bunch of positions. Over the last two weeks, he's rocking an absurd .548 on-base percentage, including a homer and 3 steals.

Hitting in a rejuvenated Milwaukee Brewers lineup, he may be worth an add.

Zach Thompson, SP, Miami Marlins

Roster Percentage: 43%

Just called up recently and assuming a roster slot for the Miami Marlins, Zach Thompson didn't factor in Sunday's decision against the Atlanta Braves -- but, that doesn't mean we should ignore his run of form, either.

Thompson has now whiffed 31 batters in his first 24 Major League innings this season, and he's posted a sparkling 2.25 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over that time frame.

Thompson also showed his efficiency in this outing -- he threw 60 of 87 pitches for strikes on the effort.

If your rotation needs a boost, consider Thompson.

Willy Adames, SS, Milwaukee Brewers

Roster Percentage: 44%

Willy Adames was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers and played his first game for the Brew Crew on May 22nd.

The defensive whiz has said that he had a pretty difficult time seeing the ball in the Trop during his time with the Tampa Bay Rays, which is a little curious.

Well, Adames may not be lying.

Since the move, which spans 163 plate appearances, the middle infielder owns a 149 wRC+, including a .542 slugging percentage. That's pretty good.

And, the dude is hitting smack dab in the middle of the Brewers lineup, so if you need a jolt, peep him.

Joe Ross, SP, Washington Nationals

Roster Percentage: 36%

I'm gonna be really honest: I never saw this coming from Joe Ross.

Perhaps turning in his finest start of the year, the right-hander was absolutely brilliant in taming the juggernaut Los Angeles Dodgers offense on Sunday.

While Ross did take the loss, he was spectacular with 11 strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings.

In the last month, spanning 36 1/3 innings, Ross now has a 1.98 ERA and 0.96 WHIP. Add him right away if available.
