DJ LeMahieu left out of Yankees' season-opening lineup
New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's season opener against the Washington Nationals.
The Yankees activated LeMahieu from the injured list after he was sidelined with the coronavirus, but he's apparently not quite ready for the starting lineup. Tyler Wade will start at second and bat ninth on Thursday night versus right-hander Max Scherzer and the Nationals. Here's the Yankees' full lineup to start the season: Aaron Hicks CF, Aaron Judge RF, Gleyber Torres SS, Giancarlo Stanton DH, Brett Gardner LF, Gary Sanchez C, Luke Voit 1B, Gio Urshela 3B, Tyler Wade 2B. Gerrit Cole will be making his Yankees debut and his second career Opening Day start.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Yankees are currently -162 favorites over the Nationals. The game has an over/under of 7.5 runs.
