Willie Calhoun sitting for Rangers Thursday night
Texas Rangers designated hitter Willie Calhoun will not start in Thursday's series opener against left-hander Martin Perez and the Boston Red Sox.
What It Means:
Joey Gallo will serve as the Rangers' DH in place of Calhoun and Isiah Kiner-Falefa will cover the leadoff role. Adolis Garcia will man right field and bat cleanup with Nate Lowe lined up fifth. Eli White will enter the lineup in center field and bat ninth.
