Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Ben Gamel is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Drew Smyly and the Atlanta Braves.

Gamel appears to be taking a routine breather. Jared Oliva, Bryan Reynolds, and Wilmer Difo will start across the outfield for Pittsburgh. Kevin Newman is back in the lineup to play shortstop and hit seventh.
