Mariners' Evan White (sports hernia) without timetable for return
Seattle Mariners infielder Evan White will not be available for the start of the 2022 MLB season.
White had successful surgery to repair a sports hernia on Wednesday and will not be available for opening day. A timeline for his return is still to be determined. The Mariners open their season against the Minnesota Twins on April 7th.
White made 104 plate appearances for Seattle last season, with 2 homers, 8 runs, 9 RBI, and a 0.144 batting average.
