At 17, the Los Angeles Clippers constitute a jump in composite ranking to 82, 11 better than the Kings at 93. They rate exactly 17th in nERD, 14th offensively and 12th in effective field goal percentage, impressively enough.

Alternatively, the Clips have been bad on the defensive end, ranking 20th in points allowed per 100 possessions. That has prevented them from reaching the playoffs in 10 of 16 seasons and from participating in a conference or NBA finals, no matter which great basketball mind sits at the end of the bench.
