NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 3/3/18
If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.
With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.
We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.
Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 7:30 PM EST.
Best of the Best
LeBron James (FanDuel Price: $12,200) - In a battle of two of the worst defenses in the NBA (bottom-seven defensive ratings for both), the Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets own the highest over/under of Saturday's six-game slate at a hefty 228.0 points. The Nuggets have struggled to slow down anyone, holding the second-worst defensive rating while giving up nearly 115 points per game over their last 10. With the Cavs sporting a slate-best 116.5-point implied total, you can't go wrong building your lineup around LeBron even at his steep cost. The King has been solid in DFS, carrying a reliable floor with at least 51 FanDuel points in nine straight contests. During the stretch, James has four triple-doubles while averaging 29.3 points, 10.6 rebounds, 11.0 assists, and a 32.5% usage rate for 58.6 FanDuel points per game.
