Shane Vereen saw a solid workload in Week 1, playing 24 of the New York Giants' 56 offensive snaps, rushing the ball 6 times (good for 25% of the team's attempts), and finishing second on the team with 5 targets. His usage was once again promising in Week 2.
Per Nathan Jankhe of Pro Football Focus, he out-snapped Rashad Jennings 40 to 34, saw 14 carries to Jennings' 13, and was targeted 3 times in the passing game.
Vereen finished ahead of the league average at running back in both Rushing NEP per carry (0.01) and Reception NEP per target (0.39) in 2015, and as he appears to be carving himself out a big role in the Giants' backfield, he's not somebody you should leave sitting on your league's waiver wire, especially in point-per-reception leagues.
