10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 3
Torrey Smith, WR, San Francisco 49ers

Torrey Smith was a popular value pick this offseason, a big-play threat looking like the top receiving option in a fast-paced Chip Kelly offense, but his Week 1 performance was a bit of a let-down with only 2 receptions for 13 yards.
He did see a decent 6 targets in that game though, and he continued to be a big part of the offense in Week 2 with a team-high 10 targets (out of 36). He struggled with efficiency again with only 3 receptions, but he posted 55 yards and 1 touchdown, finishing second on the team with a 5.63 Reception NEP.
Smith has seen 21% of the San Francisco 49ers' passing targets to start the season, and with Reception NEP per target numbers in 2014 and 2015 that top anything Quinton Patton or Jeremy Kerley have ever posted, he should continue not only to see a solid target share but also to be the biggest threat to turn those targets into significant fantasy scoring.
