For the third week in a row, the Los Angeles Rams were involved in our top play, but they were on the wrong end of it this time, giving up a crucial pick-six to Nickell Robey.

The weather in my region of the United States, the Upper Midwest, is always fickle.

Once Minnesota hits October, we can go from shorts weather at 80 degrees one day to wondering why we didn’t invest in that husky sled team after all the next. Almost each of the seven years I’ve lived in this state have seen the first snowfall come before Halloween. As much as I love the winter, I get the same sense of indignation as I do when people put up their Christmas decorations around Labor Day.

It’s just wrong.

What’s absolutely right, however, is the beauty of big plays in the NFL. These are moments we revel and roll around in, like they’re an adrenaline-filled pile of leaves that show up every Sunday. Last week’s action was no different, and there were a series of exciting environments on the NFL field, from special teams plays galore to crucial turnovers and downfield bombs. As we get ready to savor another week’s worth of fun tonight, we can still stave off that winter cold with the warmth of these hot fire plays from Week 5!
