Quarterback: Drew Brees

Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints
34 for 49, 465 Yards, 4 Touchdowns, 1 INT
Performance: 98, NEP: +25.16

Drew Brees at home continues to be one of the most consistent plays in the highly variable world of fantasy football. Over his career, he has been lights out at the Superdome, and he continued that this week in a shootout with the Carolina Panthers. Brees completed 34 of 49 passes for 465 passing yards, 4 touchdowns, and an interception.

Brees completed passes to 10 different receivers, orchestrating Sean Payton's offense masterfully. His 465 passing yards were the third-highest total of his career, quite a feat for a quarterback that has 99 outings of 300-plus passing yards under his belt -- the most in NFL history. Brees was making plays all over the field, including an 87-yard touchdown strike to Brandin Cooks early in the first quarter. He now ranks 3rd in Passing NEP per drop back among passers with at least 200 drop backs.

A four-touchdown performance will typically have you at the top of the fantasy leaderboards, and Brees was no exception this week. He finished as the overall QB1 (standard scoring) and has finished as a top-six fantasy quarterback in each of his home games so far this season.
