DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Helper for Week 9
Defense/Special Teams
High-Cost Option: Kansas City Chiefs ($3,500)
Picking on Blake Bortles has become a habit this season, but for good reason. He has 11 turnovers on the year and has been sacked multiple times in six of seven games. The Chiefs are playing at home in Arrowhead as seven-point home favorites and lead the league in takeaways (16).
Mid-Cost Option: Green Bay Packers ($2,700)
Luck is a player who is finishing with solid statistics, but his sieve of an offensive line has made it mostly come late in games. The Colts are giving up the most sacks (31) and the third-most quarterback hits this year (61). Luck has been forced into bad decisions often, resulting in him turning the ball over nine times already this season. The Packers rank top-five in schedule-adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP, forcing opposing offenses to become one-dimensional and pass on them; that has led to Green Bay ranking top-12 in sacks (19) with them generating consistent pressure.
Low-Cost Option: Los Angeles Rams ($2,400)
Punting at defense can be a bit tricky this week without a lot of options, but the Rams could be an intriguing one to pursue. The Panthers have given the ball up 17 times this season (second-most) via turnovers, and their offensive line has given up 46 quarterback hits (12th-most). The Rams recently returned William Hayes and Robert Quinn over the past two weeks and should be able to generate plenty of pressure this week against the Panthers' offensive line.
Other Options: Carolina Panthers ($3,400)
