With the Patriots already having clinched the AFC East, the Dolphins know they will either be the 5 or the 6 seed. They still need some help to be the 5 seed even with a victory, though.

If the Dolphins win, they need the Chargers to defeat the Chiefs in order to be the 5 seed. The Chiefs are pretty heavy favorites at 65.36% odds of claiming victory, putting the Dolphins' odds of finishing with the 5 seed down at 10.89%. They improve to 34.64% if the Dolphins can knock off the Patriots.
