New York Jets

Needs Entering Draft: QB, TE, OLB, CB
Positions Drafted: RB, WR, TE, OLB, CB, S

After every sign showed the New York Jets have little to no faith in Christian Hackenberg as their quarterback of the future, they got through the 2017 NFL Draft without so much as sniffing a passer -- a stunning surprise. They also spent their two highest picks on safeties Jamal Adams -- really just great value at sixth overall, much like when they picked defensive lineman Leonard Williams -- and Marcus Maye. It appears that one or both of Marcus Gilchrist and Calvin Pryor are on the outs in Gotham.

Other than that, the Jets basically picked straight off their needs board. They loaded up on pass-catchers with wide receivers ArDarius Stewart and Chad Hansen in the earlier goings, and then nabbed tight end Jordan Leggett with their first fifth-round pick. Outside linebacker Dylan Donohue will enter as depth in the pass-rush rotation, and cornerbacks Jeremy Clark and Derrick Jones (both sixth-round picks) will likely compete for snaps early on, as well.
