De'Angelo Henderson Will Lead the Broncos in Rushing

Why This Is Bold: Casual drafters don't even know who De'Angelo Henderson is.

Why This Will Happen: This is one of the boldest predictions on this list, but hear me out.

The Broncos running back depth chart features a ton of question marks. C.J. Anderson's going to more than likely open up the season as the starter, but he's failed to stay healthy so far over his career. And he's been a pretty meh running back over the last two seasons: his Success Rate during his big 2014 breakout campaign was a strong (very strong) 46.93% but, since then, that's fallen to 37.50% and 39.09%, respectively, over the last two seasons. Let's not pretend we've got a huge sample size on Anderson being a stud back.

And then there's Devontae Booker. Bless his heart. He finished his rookie year with a 3.52 yards per carry average and a Success Rate of 36.21%.

So, sure, maybe this is an offensive line thing -- and I'm certain that's part of it -- but there's also a chance Anderson and Booker aren't top-notch starters.

We can't forget that the Broncos signed Jamaal Charles this offseason. Why am I not into him? Well, the Broncos have already said they're going to limit his touches even if he's fully healthy -- he has a shot at being relevant in PPR formats, but he's not going to be an early-down bruiser.

That leaves us with De'Angelo Henderson, a sixth-round selection in this year's draft out of Coastal Carolina. Henderson's production profile there was epic -- yes, I know, his competition wasn't strong -- ranking in the 94th percentile. And he had a strong combine, running a sub-4.5 40-yard dash at 208 pounds.

It's not as hard as you might think to see how a player like Henderson could make his way onto the field for Denver.
