30 Fantasy Football Bold Predictions for the 2017 Season
Frank Gore Will End the Year as a Top-15 Running Back
Why This Is Bold: Gore is currently being drafted at RB35. And he's older than my dad. (He's not.)
Why This Will Happen: No running back has carried the ball more over the last two seasons than Frank Gore. And no player's been arguably more undervalued -- he's being selected at RB35 in drafts, but last season, he finished tied for the 13th-most top-12 performances at running back, and he had the 8th-most top-18 and top-24 ones. At the very least, he was a high-end RB2 last year in fantasy football.
What's changed this season? He's another year older, yes, but Gore's already broken the age curve. Last year, at 33, he totaled the fifth-highest rushing attempts for any player of that age or older. And he hit 1,000 yards rushing, becoming the third running back to do so in the age group.
