Week 4 Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming: Rolling With Deshaun Watson
Jay Cutler, Miami Dolphins
Yahoo! Ownership: 38%
I'm bending the ownership rules here to include Jay Cutler, whose ownership may end up at less than 30% later this week after people jump ship following his Week 3 dud versus the Jets.
The Dolphins' offense was terrible against Gang Green -- there's no other way to put it. But Cutler and company have a potentially cushy date with the Saints in a London clash.
Miami is favored by 2.5 points, and Cutler has been much better in wins throughout his career.
Split | Games | Yards Per Game | Touchdowns | Picks | Adjusted Yards/Attempt |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Wins | 69 | 241.6 | 131 | 42 | 8.02 |
Losses | 72 | 225.6 | 79 | 105 | 5.46 |
Like they have been for a while now, New Orleans is a dream matchup. According to our numbers, the Saints ranked 30th against the pass in 2016, and they are currently 29th against the pass this season (and that's after they shut down the Panthers in Week 3).
Cutler doesn't have a huge ceiling because Miami will likely want to pound Jay Ajayi if they get out in front, but he's a home favorite against one of the league's worst secondaries. Our models rank Cutler as the QB15 this week, planting him firmly on the streaming radar and making him a must-start option in two-quarterback leagues.
