Welcome back to fantasy stardom, Todd Gurley!
In a start to the season that makes you believe in the power of quality coaching, Gurley finished with 215 total yards and a touchdown on Sunday, completely dominating the Dallas Cowboys undermanned defense as a runner and receiver while propelling the surprise Rams to a 3-1 division-leading record.
The former top-10 overall pick has looked rejuvenated under this new coaching staff, running with purpose and with a renewed confidence that his offensive line won't leave him out to dry on every snap. Additionally, his new head coach in Sean McVay, unlike the previous regime, understands how valuable and talented Gurley is as a pass catcher.
With a Week 4 Performance Score of 99, Gurley looks back on track to fulfilling the promise so many saw when he entered the league. There certainly were flashes during his rookie season, but his sophomore campaign was beyond forgettable, seemingly losing confidence in his ability to create yards on his own.
While his schedule is about to take a turn for the ugly, it seems unwise to question Gurley as one of 2017's premier running back talents. With a consistent workload and an improving offense, the young back is cementing his spot as one of the comeback players of the year.
