Brett Hundley's -0.23 Passing NEP per Drop Back Ranks 39th

Here at numberFire, we have a metric called Net Expected Points (NEP) that compares every single play over a season to how a league-average team should perform on that play. Our Success Rate metric measures the percentage of plays in which the NEP was greater than zero. For more about our in-house metrics, check out our glossary.

Among the 44 quarterbacks with 20 or more drop backs this season, Brett Hundley's -0.23 Passing NEP per drop back is the sixth-worst. That's a far drop in efficiency from Aaron Rodgers, whose 0.16 Passing NEP per drop back ranks 11th among that same group.

Over his five full games this season, Rodgers attempted 189 passes, averaging 273.4 passing yards, 2.6 touchdowns and 0.6 interceptions per game. That's a far cry from how Hundley has fared thus far in his career.

The Green Bay Packers have gone 0-2 since Rodgers went down and are currently 2.5 point home underdogs to the Detroit Lions in Week 9. With a projected 12.3 FanDuel points, Hundley is our 23rd ranked quarterback.
