Fantasy Football: 4 Things We Learned From Week 15
Nick Foles Is a Legit Streamer
It's tough going all in on a backup quarterback -- especially in the fantasy playoffs-- but Nick Foles' performance was certainly reassuring. Foles led the Eagles to a 34-29 victory on Sunday, posting 25.48 fantasy points in the process -- good for a finish as the QB3, pending Monday Night Football.
We could of course write this off as a fluke. He was playing the New York Giants, and who hasn't trounced the Giants? Okay, so Alex Smith didn't, but even with Smith's dud, the Giants still allow the most points to opposing fantasy quarterbacks. Foles' performance therefore isn't exactly shocking.
However, next week Foles gets a home game against the Raiders, who give up the ninth-most points to the position and allow the league's highest catch rate. Considering the Raiders are also tied for the sixth-fewest sacks and have a mind-blowing two interceptions on the season, it's another sweet spot for a quarterback surrounded by pass-catching talent.
