Sterling Shepard, WR, New York Giants

DraftKings Price: $4,900

Projected Points: 11.4

Projected Value (points per $1,000): 2.33

Those rostering Sterling Shepard in the first two weeks were in the same boat as Chris Carson owners, patiently waiting for the wind to blow their sail. As with Carson, that wind finally blew in Week 3 as Shepard busted out with 6 catches for 80 yards and a score.

His 20 DraftKings points ranked 15th out of all receivers, and he has an excellent chance to exceed that output this week in a plus matchup against the Saints. The Saints rank dead last in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP this season, which should come as no surprise to anybody who has watched them play for five minutes.

They've given up an almost unbelievable 66.30 DraftKings points per game to opposing wide receivers this season, 15.23 more than the second-worst Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints have allowed WR2s to do a lot of the damage this season, as we saw with Calvin Ridley's monster game in Week 3. By our metrics, they rank 30th against WR2s this season an 18th against WR1s.

There have already been eight wide receivers to have double-digit PPR points against New Orleans this season, and the position has already been responsible for nine scores against them. Shepard's only other matchup against the Saints came in Week 2 of his 2016 rookie year. He finished that game with 8 catches for 117 yards in a 16-13 New York Giants win.

Sunday's game has a total of 50.0 points, second-highest on the main slate. As long as the Giants' offensive line can give Eli Manning some room to work -- which might not be hard against a Saints defense that has just six sacks this season -- Shepard will have the opportunity to feast.

We have him projected for an average value of 2.33 DraftKings points per $1,000 with an upside for much more.
