Week 14 Fantasy Football Market Share Report: Dante Pettis Is Coming On
Red-Zone Market Shares
1. Zay Jones Is on the Rise
The Buffalo Bills aren’t a high-octane offenses by any stretch, but if you find yourself in need of a hail mary at receiver in the playoffs, Zay Jones is dominating his team’s red-zone receiving work.
Over the last four games, Jones has logged a 28% market share of the Bills' targets as well as a 25% share of their air yards. And in the red zone, he's got 12 targets this year while no other Buffalo player has more than 6. With 6 receptions and 4 touchdowns on those 12 red-zone looks, Jones is making the most of his limited opportunities in a poor passing attack.
Averaging 5.8 targets per game, Jones’ Week 13 output of 4 receptions for 67 yards and 2 touchdowns shows his ceiling, and he's now got at least five targets in six of the last seven games.
2. LeGarrette Blount Continues His Red-Zone Dominance
With 23 red-zone attempts on the season, LeGarrette Blount sits 13th in overall red-zone carries among backs, and he's seeing 57.7% of the Detroit Lions' carries inside the 10.
Blount has five red-zone touchdowns this season, tied for ninth among all runners.
With Kerryon Johnson hobbled, Blount has seen 19 and 16 carries in the past two weeks. While Theo Riddick has a stranglehold on the pass-game snaps, Blount is a decent bet for a touchdown as long as Kerryon is out.
If he’s still available and you're in a pinch at running back, you could do worse that plugging in Blount and hoping for a score.
