Houston Texans - A Need for Miller Time
Quarterback: Deshaun Watson (100%),
Running Backs: Alfred Blue (52%), D'Onta Foreman (48%)
Wide Receivers: DeAndre Hopkins (100%), DeAndre Carter (75%), Demaryius Thomas (54%), Vyncint Smith (38%)
Tight Ends: Ryan Griffin (72%), Jordan Akins (37%), Jordan Thomas (23%)
With Lamar Miller out this week, both Alfred Blue and D'Onta Foreman had a chance to showcase their skills. While both were able to be of at least some use in the passing game (combining for 6 catches, 54 yards and a score), they did next to nothing in the running game. Blue rushed for just 14 yards on 4 carries. Foreman was amazingly worse, accumulating negative yardage on seven totes. This team needs Miller back in a must-win game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Miller rushed for 100 yards and a score against them earlier this season. He could be motivated by more than a win this week, as 83 yards will get him to 1,000 for the third time in his career.
Indianapolis Colts - Rogers Bounces Back
Quarterback: Andrew Luck (100%)
Running Backs: Marlon Mack (64%), Nyheim Hines (34%)
Wide Receivers: T.Y. Hilton (87%), Chester Rogers (69%), Dontrelle Inman (58%), Zach Pascal (52%), Ryan Grant (42%)
Tight Ends: Mo Alie-Cox (48%), Eric Ebron (30%)
Chester Rogers saw the field for 69% of the Indianapolis Colts' offensive snaps in Week 16. This is his third-best rate of the season and best since he saw 77% of the team's snaps in Week 5. With the team playing from behind for most of the game, Rogers saw more involvement than usual. He caught all 7 of his targets for 54 yards and the game-winning score. It's hard to trust that he'll see heavy involvement again this week though. He's seen just 26 targets combined since October 14.
Jacksonville Jaguars - Bortles Will Never Vanish
Quarterback: Cody Kessler (66%), Blake Bortles (34%)
Running Backs: Leonard Fournette (73%), Carlos Hyde (24%)
Wide Receivers: Donte Moncrief (79%), Dede Westbrook (78%), Keelan Cole (52%), Rashad Greene (27%)
Tight End: James O'Shaughnessy (63%), Blake Bell (37%), Ben Koyack (33%)
Cody Kessler was benched in the second half for Blake Bortles. Yes, that Blake Bortles. Fantasy god, Blake Bortles. While it hasn't been confirmed, Bortles could get the start in Week 17 against the Houston Texans. No matter the starter, fire up the Houston D/ST. Bortles and Kessler combined to go 27-of-42 for just 189 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 turnovers in their loss to the Texans earlier this year. That game was at home. This game is at Houston against a team who can claim a division title with a win. There will be those starting Bortles as a contrarian play this week. Don't be that person.
Tennessee Titans - Questions at QB
Quarterback: Blaine Gabbert (52%), Marcus Mariota (48%)
Running Backs: Derrick Henry (62%), Dion Lewis (39%)
Wide Receivers: Corey Davis (88%), Taywan Taylor (79%), Darius Jennings (52%)
Tight Ends: Luke Stocker (68%), Anthony Firkser (50%), MyCole Pruitt (48%)
The Tennessee Titans can get into the playoffs with a win over the Colts on Sunday night. They'll have to potentially be ready to do so with Blaine Gabbert at the helm. Marcus Mariota suffered a stinger in Week 16 and ended up playing just 48% of the team's snaps. Gabbert came into the game and led the Titans to a comeback victory. Mariota will almost certainly give it a go this week, but Gabbert will be ready to step in. Though the Titans may be forced to use him, please don't be the person who does the same in fantasy.
