Dallas Really Has No Defense

The Dallas Cowboys should be renamed the Allas Cowboys because they really don’t play any D. (Heyo!)

But seriously. We all know they’ve got injuries galore on that side of the ball, and it certainly showed against San Francisco on Sunday. Colin Kaepernick had the fourth-highest yards per attempt average among all quarterbacks on Sunday, while Frank Gore and rookie Carlos Hyde combined for 23 rushes and 113 yards.

The biggest problem for the Cowboys on Sunday was the fact that the offense gave the defense zero help. Tony Romo had costly interceptions, totaling three by the end of the day. It was 28-3 at the half, and the 49ers just had to breathe in order to get the W, which they did.

The Cowboys have Tennessee next week, who looked pretty solid offensively in their first game against the Chiefs. Like Atlanta, Tennessee was a team our algorithms liked entering the season, ranking them 15th offensively and projecting eight wins. It won’t be as easy of a test as many would think.
